Justo en el solar donde descansa la fachada que pinté junto a Uve Mañes, estaba el último horno de leña de Alcublas, al que la gente acudía a llevar sus propias llandas, panes, arroces…
During the days we spent painting, we heard many stories and anecdotes about Asunción, the woman who ran the oven. The entire village of Alcublas remembered La Valenciana’s oven . That’s why it was such a pleasure to rescue a little piece of the village’s history and turn it into a mural.
Durante los días que estuvimos pintando, escuchamos multitud de historias y anécdotas de Asunción, la mujer que se encargaba del horno. Todo el pueblo de Alcublas se acordaba del horno de la Valenciana. Por eso mismo, fue un placer rescatar un trocito de la historia del pueblo para convertirlo en mural.
